Born in the vibrant city of Casablanca, Morocco, Valerie Perez grew up surrounded by rich colors, patterns, and beauty, which sparked her creative eye from an early age. At the age of 15, her family relocated to Los Angeles, where her passion for fashion began to take shape. Perez quickly recognized her love for design while working in a clothing store and soon pursued a career in Fashion Design. Today, she is the Founder of VP, a fashion-forward apparel and accessory luxury leisurewear brand known for its super soft feel and beautiful prints. 

Perez’s journey to entrepreneurship started after years of working for some of the biggest names in the fashion industry. With her drive to chart her own path, she opened her first business, a franchise for a renowned French brand. Partnering with her family, she expanded the business to include 17 stores across the West Coast and Switzerland. However, after many years of travel and success, Perez realized she had been living on autopilot and yearned for a fresh start. With her parents' blessing, she embarked on a journey of self-discovery, traveling across China and Thailand in search of peace and inspiration.

During this time, Perez conceived the idea for her next venture. Frustrated with her gym towel constantly falling as she got ready, she was reminded of the beautiful sarongs she wore in Thailand—lightweight, comfortable, and secure. Feeling inspired, she created Wrap Up by VP, a brand that would merge practicality, beauty, and luxury. Starting humbly in her backyard with a camping tent as her workspace, Perez worked tirelessly to build what would become a globally recognized brand. 

Today, Wrap Up has evolved to VP by Valerie Perez offering a comprehensive line of luxury resort spa and leisurewear, including silk sleepwear, breezy kaftans, chic resort chemises, breathable silk kimonos and kaftans, luxurious throw blankets, and lightweight super absorbent plush towel wraps made of the highest quality microfiber.
